AM Session:

Power Snatch: A bunch of reps up to 205

Power Clean: 275x1x3

Front Squat: A bunch of reps up to 315

Notes: My oblique was the worst its been this morning. Hopefully the pain eases up a bit for my PM session, since I have to go heavier. My knees were also feeling pretty achy. The weather constantly going from 40 degrees one day down to 6 degrees another is making my knees feel like garbage.

Clean: 305x3

Notes: My oblique pain is getting worse, so I am going to take a few days off of the main stuff and only do assistance stuff and see where how that is.

Hope it gets better, man. Sometimes backing off a bit for nagging shit to heal is the best choice you have.

Any idea how/why you got it?

Yeah, I have tried to train through it for the past couple weeks but the ups and downs of it sucks. Especially since it has gotten worse the past couple days.

I have no idea where it came from. I woke up in the middle of the night one night and was incredibly stiff and then the pain really came on the following morning when I was starting to warm up.

If you have any ideas, definitely feel free to shoot them my way.

Hopefully things are good to go by Monday. The problem with any kind of abdominal pain is that you need your abs for everything.

AM Session:

Snatch: 205x2x3

Notes: These were good. I worked on my static start some more. It felt a bit better today but my knees also felt much better than they have in awhile, so I think that helped.

Power Clean & Power Jerk: A lot of reps up to 295x1

Power Clean: Up to 345x1; 325x1x3

Notes: These were pretty solid today. The oblique pain was pretty minimal today, so that was nice. I think it was a good call to take a couple days off. While it isn't totally gone, everything is very tolerable.

Notes: More work on the static start. It felt gay again. I lost the misses forward, per usual.

Clean & Jerk: 395x1; 405x1+No Jerk

Notes: My fucking belt come undone after the clean. As you can see at the end of the video that I will post, I was not too happy. I don't think the gym teacher was too happy with me but I don't really care because they were in my room.

It was very reassuring to smoke a 405 clean again, though, since it has been a long time since I have cleaned 400+.

I was fucking around with an old HD that was in a computer that burned out a couple years ago, and I stumbled upon some of the videos from the grappling tournament I did in Thailand in 2009. This was from the advanced absolute division, which is why my opponent is smaller than me. I was around 185 lbs here. I'll post the other videos tomorrow after they're uploaded.
