Tyson prime would lose to Lennox Lewis 7/10X. Prime Tyson would lose to Ali 6-7/10. Tyson was super fast and hit like a truck. He could be picked a part with a lethal jab. He is similar to Frazier who gave Ali all he could handle. I believe Frazier had a bigger heart than Tyson. Tyson did not do well with adversity.

Tyson/Ali....
Ali was always open to left hooks at all points of his career and Tyson threw one of the best hooks in HW history and had real technique to set it up.
Ali would be the obvious favorite if such a fight were possible but no result would surprise me. People look at Tysons career as a whole and forget what an incredible specimen he was in his prime.

I watched Tyson from day 1. He was a boxing prodigy and historian at that. He like many heavyweights was spoon fed a bunch of tomato cans, of which he easily disposed of. His peek a boo style was a thing of beauty. Amazing how a guy 5'10 (he was'nt 5'11 when I stood beside him) could knock out men 6'3 and up. He threw with bad intentions, no question.
When I look at his career it is from the beginning to end. As a whole, not the latter unmotivated Tyson.

I agree, I'm one of those people that thinks Tyson knocks him out. If this is 1986 Mike Tyson we are talking about. Not saying Tyson is better, but the style matchup would favor him.

I don't usually find many who agree but yeah, I've always thought Tyson would have been a terrible matchup for Ali. Ali would play with guys and clown around in there and of course you'll get those that will say " That why he beats Tyson, Tyson was a bully. Ali would have stood up to him."or "OMG, did you see the Douglas fight?"
I don't care who you are, Tyson was a wrecking machine. There was no one you could compare him to around the time he was smacking around Berbick and Spinks and Holmes. No one. Theres never been a HW like that before or since then.

Frazier's left hook > Tyson's.
I think Ali would have handled Tyson fairly easily. Tyson would have likely folded after getting frustrated in the mid rounds.
As for GOAT status, is there really a debate? SRR all day

I disagree. Not saying Frazier DIDN'T have a great hook, but not better than Tyson. Tyson had quicker hands than Frazier, better power and honestly, better textbook technique.

Frazier proved it against better competition. Tyson wouldn't have been around in the 15th to drop Ali.

Well, thats a different thing all together. If you had said heart instead of hook, I'd agree.

I won't even entertain Ali-Tyson, that's been a debate for people who don't know the sport so I'm surprised to see you guys engage in it.
