Don't over look the Kahr PM9 if your looking for a compact 9.

I suggest looking at Kel-tec's offerings, as well. Cheaper than Kahr, that's for sure

Probably a reason for that

Aren't Kel-Tecs also notoriously difficult to find on shelves, even prior to recent events?

I was looking into some compacts reading http://www.gunsandammo.com/gun-revie...ndgun-reviews/
I really like the Springfield XDS.

I haven't check in awhile but I used to see them all the time at guns shows and LGS. the problem with them is they were always the .380 model and ammo for a .380 is over priced IMO.
Also I find them ugly as sin.

And they have a ridiculously miserably trigger pull (the Kahr) and aren't very effedtive at killing people (the .380).
I saw a video last year of an internet cafe robbery in Florida that was interrupted by a senior citizen with a .380 carry pistol. He probably shot each robber 3 times and they both just ran away. They had shotguns and if they'd been inclined could have shot and killed him and everyone else in the restaurant. The video was being distributed as "a proven way to prevent massacres" but from my perspective, the old man almost caused one.

Pre-Ordered it Decemeber 2012 but due to the panic and S&W getting backed-up, probably won't see it til June 2013. -_-
I ordered the 9mm version.
