Do you have a pinpoint on where you are going? There may be an online community of folks selling their shit. Like here we have a Craigslist style page on facebook. It work like a charm.

Ha you're telling me. Our "Marne standard" is:
IOTV with all the plates
ACH w/ NODS
Knee and elbow pads
gloves
eyepro
earpro
weapon
Then whatever shit you carry in your ruck.
Usually equates to something between 70-120lbs altogether. You know because if you are a gunner of any sort you're sucking at life.

I'm gonna start a new deployment stuff thread in here, so I am not derailing this one. Thanks for the advice so far.

Sounds like the problem was from a couple decades ago and it has all been ironed out. I agree, a 1911 is better.

I guess Beretta changed manufacturers. Can't imagine what was wrong with Mec-Gar. I hope those factory 30 round M9 magazines were made before the switch. lol. Actually those I think are made by Beretta in Italy.

Army wasn't using the mecgars but some absolute garbage lowest bidder mags. They were horrible. The mecgars are great.

I bought 800 rds of ammo (400rds of .223 and 400rds of 7.62x39) and 3 Glock mags (1-G21 and 2-G23) today at the gun store and ordered 2 Springfield XDM 19rd 9mm mags. Expensive day.......about $500 worth...broke til next payday now but I think I got some good stuff.

EBR's aren't worth it, better off with the DM 5.56mm. Greater accuracy, less weight, availability and commonality of mags, does not require grease, and availability or armorer support.

XD showed off the 9mm XDs today at the Shot Show.

I really like it but the the spec are thw exact same as the 45 XDs. It could have been a little smaller i think. Still cool though. I can't believe Glock hasn't made a single stack 9 yet.
