I agree with this, I'd not want to play Madden, a fighting game, or a platformer with a keyboard/mouse, obviously.
And to the people in denial that M/KB is superior, go look up a game called Shadowrun. They allowed cross platforming (360 vs pc) You know what they had to do to make it even? They had to make it where there was a wobble effect on twitch movements of the mouse for the crosshairs and artificial lag for PC users to make it fair. Or go back to when Quake 3 players on the Dreamcast could play against the PC users, it was a massive cry fest because controller players just couldn't compete.
But clearly I'm brainwashed.

This is nonsense. Controllers don't feel foreign to PC gamers as most PC gamers (such as myself) grew up with consoles, I just do not like to use them for FPS games.
It's like eating cereal with a fork.. sure I could do it, but when I have a spoon in the other room why would I subject myself to it?

And if someone likes eating cereal with a fork, I personally have no problem with it. I would just like to eat my cocoa puffs with a spoon. Is that so much to ask?

I don't even want to debate which is better. I personally like both, depending on the game. I just want to know why kb/m isn't available on consoles when it's a very easy addition. I mean....shit....they added motion control before kb/m.

I've always thought it was pretty simple....PC gaming and Console gaming each have a stigma attached.
Whatever your view may be, the fact of the matter is that the stigma of each is console gaming is cool, and PC gaming is for nerds that can't get girls.
Look at common commercials these days. Do you see many NFL/NBA players endorsing PC games? Any Olympians? Movie Stars? Rock Stars? You see them breaking a sweat using a kb/m? I'm sure plenty of them play PC games, but PC gaming still has that nerd stigma attached to it.
The last thing console gamers want is to feel like they're playing a PC, and vice versa.

I agree with the "depending on the game part". Controllers are vastly superior for Sports games, platformers, non first person RPG's, fighting games, driving sims, etc. They're also more conducive to a casual/social environment, just lounging on the couch/lazy boy, rather than alone at your desk.
Hopefully one day they'll allow mouse/keyboard for a console, the kiddie rage from playing vastly superior players on FPS games would increase the sales of controllers by 500%, but it probably won't happen since more platforms = more money.

I don't think the best Halo players are swimming in pussy dude. lol. Console gaming is about as cool as PC gaming aka not at all. Playing a lot of video games is a nerdy thing to do regardless of platform.
Your post is seriously hilarious. When I read it, I see a 300 lb man saying to himself "yeah chicks dig the way I use my controller, it just makes the all hot and bothered" I am e-mailing this to a few buddies for the lulz.

Personally if I wanted to use a mouse for FPS games and wanted to play against other people using a mouse, I would start gaming on a PC.

He's kind of right though. The stigma attached to Console gaming isn't nearly as damaging as the one attached to someone playing the exact same game on the PC, I wouldn't say one is "cool" and the other is "no life virgin", but one is definitely more socially acceptable.
Although I don't agree with the Movie/Rock Star/etc. comment... World of Warcraft commercials had Mr. T, Ozzy, JCVD, Chuck Norris, and the Black Ops 2 commercials were not specific for one console, but all platforms. There are a lot of big time stars who play PC games and are not shy about it.
