Big surprise coming from someone with Zuffa in his screen name. How does Dana's ball sweat taste? Obviously, you never saw a WEC event before Zuffa took over,When they had guys like Rafael del Real main eventing in his pro debut,or journeyman Shonie Carter fighting for the welterweight title.

Bendo and aldo are great, it's true, but 8-9 sf guys are on that level. Or will be most likely.

The best card SF ever put on was the one full of mismatches like Daley vs Smith, Hendo vs Babalu etc.

I think he's saying he enjoyed the promotion more. At least that's how I feel. WEC put on competitive fights entertaining fights, the production always went very well, the commentating was great (except when Mir commentated Torres' fights), their ring announcer is on par with Buffer, all in all a great package. Pride was the bigger, more important organization, but I enjoyed WEC more and I think that's what he was getting at

It's kind of funny when people say things like this. Clearly Strikeforce has never had awful main events. I for one thought Tank Abbott vs Paul Buentello, Duane Ludwig vs Sam Morgan, and Jose Palacios vs Miguel Linares were among the greatest superfights the sport has ever had.
At least his screen name admits he likes Zuffa. Yours should probably be butthurt Pride fanboy Leto.

WEC had a lot of the best bantamweights and featherweights in the world(and as it turns out, some of the best lightweights too.) Strikeforce was a separate promotion and by the end they were anemic on talent with most of the heavyweights already gone, King Mo cut, Cavalcante caught on PEDs, Shields, Nick Diaz transferred to the UFC already, Melendez & Rockhold not fighting, etc.

The WEC before Zuffa purchased it was Tachi Palace Fights.

Sf did not always have a lot of mismatches. It hardly had any. % wise probably close to the same as the UFC, with it taking the lead in mismatches based on the last card and the TWO mismatches there. The wec was fun after zuffa took over. That is why the zuffa posters like it so much. Strikeforce mattered on its own. Wec was fun with its tribal tattoos everywhere and Miguel torres's, but as much as I thought Faber was fun to watch, and condit before the downsizing, wec was no SF..
