Smart move on his part taking down that site.
I can understand you buying a domain to contain fallout, I would do the same, but using it to then market to people. That is way over the line.
If he wanted to help he could have set up a donation site on that domain to ask for and collect donations which would then go directly to a womens abuse charity or shelter.

Someone knowingly wanting to take part in a gang rape? Horrible.
Someone wanting to participate in what they believed was a consentual sexual encounter? Not nearly as big a deal. Still a little scummy, IMO, but the idea of group sex with other guys involved grosses me out, so your mileage may vary.

Perhaps I didn't convey my point clearly, which may be why you feel I missed your point.
We both feel he is a piece of trash.
The contention seems to be, is whether he is a "rapist". You are looking at it from a legal perspective, and thus, he is not a rapist. I am looking at it from a moral perspective(albeit my own moral code) and thus, he is a rapist.
If someone intends and attempts to do something, be it rape, murder or steal, they are then a rapist, murderer or thief morally. A penis that is not able to get errect, a gun malfunctioning, or stolen goods falling out of a pocket, does not change what the person is. At least not in my view.

He didn't intend to commit rape. He intended to have sex. He believed the encounter was consentual at the time, and testified to that effect.
If he had obtained an erection and penetrated her, he would have committed rape. Ironically, without intending to commit rape.
So let me guess, despite not committing the actual crime, or even intending to commit the crime, you still consider him a rapist, right?
