Of course. What I mean is I have no doubt its TRUE but it wouldn't surprise me if Ali SAYS it just to get at Joe. Think about the implications of it being a fact Ali would not have answered the bell for the 15th round had Eddie Futch not stopped the fight first. That malicious gamesmanship was Ali's MO when it came to Frazier.

True but some fighters (very few) would be good no matter what generation.
Klitschkos would be favored 60 to 40.
They could possibly make it look easy but "The Man With The Plan" could do the same.

Man , Ali SAID a lot of shit. He said stop the fight in Liston 1 too but as the saying goes , it's what u do that counts .....not what u say.
There ain't a doubt in my mind that Ali would'nt have come out swinging n stinging in the 15th.
Ppl love to jump to conclusions but forget that Ali was dancing in the 14th and looked calm n grimly ready in the last break.
That's just Ali being Ali.
He was always overly complimental .....after the fact.

Prefect..it seems you have a hate on for Ali. Cooper was a very good boxer for that era. He dropped Ali, and yes Dundee pulled some stunts in the corner to buy Ali time. Dundee was one of the greats as far as corners go, if he felt he had to buy some time for his fighter..he was probley right.
Please name me a fighter in that era who did'nt taste the canvas at least once (save the Canadian iron jawed Chuvalo). What about the MIGHTY Sonny Liston lacing his gloves with a substance that caused Ali to be blind for more than a round??
There were shenanigans throughout boxings history, still is today with some of the horrendous judging.
If Klitschkos are your boys..good for you. They are dominating boxing in one of the worst eras of heavyweight boxing ever. You're probley one of those guys who think they would have beaten Lennox Lewis...even after he nearly caused one of them to go blind.
Vitali and Wladimir are very good boxers, they have ZERO personality and ZERO effect of the world today. Ali is more famous and more respected than the two of them will ever be combined. And ask 90% of boxing aficianados and they will agree Ali was the better fighter.

Are you forgetting that Ali preached segregation and did attend a klan rally? How many times does he have to say the white man is the devil before people think he meant it? Not that this has anything to do with his fighting.
