It doesn't work that way. If you stay at low bodyfat levels you aren't eating enough calories for maximal muscle gain. Additionally, the chemicals that your body releases with long duration training have a deleterious effect on muscle. The hours of running needed for MMA training would eat away at most of the muscle gains causing it to be a very long process.
Unless..... And if I learned one thing from bodybuilding magazines it's this: Don't take training advice from those that use too seriously. It most likely won't work unless you are on the same program.
