I don't get why LI was so surprised Luke decided to warm up on someone rather than go straight for Keenan. Everyone rolls with everyone, there is no ducking.

I thought Luke was actually a nice guy. In the several days I got to know him he never seemed like a mean guy. I think he just had a poor choice of words.

Errr yes it is when you're complaining about how Keenan chose you because you just fought 50 mins. It's an excuse, if he was so worried about not being 100% in rd 2 he should've chosen Keenan in the first rd. It completely contradicts his actions, if he accepted the loss like a man then no worries but he was making excuses HE COULD'VE avoided by fighting Keenan first round. Oh btw, he was mouthing off about how LI was protecting Keenan, why not make a point and beat him the first rd? Because he can't.

That's good to know, you handled victor's frustration well. I'm going to be in the Bay sometime this year looking forward to learning some triangle setups.

I asked about LI's reaction not Luke's excuse why he lost. LI's reaction was regarding the pick, not the excuse by Luke.
Sure, we can look back and say the excuse contradicts his pick, but at the time, why was Luke picking someone to warm up on such a bad idea?

the whole point of the kumite was people thinking they could beat keenan. so if that is why you are going to this kumite, wouldn't you want to be the first one to beat keenan?
"hey, yeah, i can beat keenan. No, i don't want to fight him first? are you nuts?"

Regarding Luke's behavior: Keep in mind that it's a reality show put together by someone whose goal is to promote Keenan. It wasn't good sportsmanship for Luke to say what he did after losing, but it doesn't mean that in real life he's a villain or a bad guy. I'm sure most (all?) of us have gotten beaten in training or a tournament and had some stupid excuse pop into our head. We have the luxury of not having a camera and a microphone in our face.
Now, what the GFTeam guy did, is another story...

Yeah, wow, I totally missed who that was until BJJ_Rage pointed that out. It's great to have competitors like Sean posting on F12. Sick calf slicers!
In certain instances, a professional grappler tag would obviously be useful. But I'm not sure how practical it would be overall, because the dividing line between the pros and the rest of us can be pretty blurry, especially before black belt.

yeah I thought that too... but may be something could be worked out for real grapplers who post with their real names, I mean, is not the same thing to be getting advice about something from hillary, sean or oli (just to name a few) and other incredible grapplers than from "Mr. X"...
