I have a problem with people using religon to become millionaires. I don't know every detail about his lifestyle, but I'm sure he lives comfortabley.
I have had this very discussion with family members and they say "well the Bible says that God will provide for you to live comfortabely " or something along those lines.
yeah, but does he not have a damn conscience that he is living high on the hog, hwile these old people that send him money are probably barely getting by in some cases?
"Preachers" like this make me sick. they all say they were called to it by God, whatever that means......Looks like if they did it for the love, I'm not saying they should live in a cardboard box, but jesus when you have a multi million dollar church, etc...I think that's a bit over the line.
when your "calling" as a preacher allows you to make millions, I think you may have a little conflict of interest there. I was raised Southern Baptist for the first 15 years of my life, in the heart of the Bible Belt. So I have seen the elderly give money to the churches, and the preacher driving around in a new Cadillac....Meanwhile the people allowing him to live this way are barely scraping by.
guys like him reek of Oral Roberts and his infamous "900 ft. Jesus" line.
just seems like for somebody who makes their living telling others what is right and wrong to be a morally questionable lifestyle......IMO.
