For all you amatuer,pro fighters...
..What goes through your mind when you enter the ring or cage(besides winning). How do you handle the nervousness?let's say an opponent cheapshots you or out-manuevers you,how do you handle your anger or frustration and prevent it from clouding your performance?

That's why you train and put your self in every situation possible so when your in a bad position you don't panic cuz you've trained for that situation

I doubt you train "getting kicked in the balls accidently and the ref doesnt see it situations" Or " your opponent eats your heaviest shots and doesnt even blink"
OR the typical " Try to kick and slip, landing on your ass in front of the whole audience " ( Very emberassing ) IF anything weird happens that makes you think, just switch to survival brawl mode, keep swinging at your opponent until he/you go down, the crowd will love it, and win or lose it was still a good fight..

You train those situations by participating in other types of competition and continue training them in your ammys...

I have no idea and yet I feel compelled to answer, sry.
Thoughts going through what head? You're probably scared shitless and full of adrenalin, pretending to be handling it to those around. You are basically an emotional wreck for the first few times, until you slowly learn to handle it better. I don't think you really think much, because you probably can't pull it together enough to actually think. Thinking starts when you have experience. Then you learn to not overthink it, to keep your energy and just get in an alerted state of mind, where you just let your body do what it does, when you get even more experienced. That's how high pressure situations tend to be. First they scare you and freeze you up. Then you get used to them and your mind is racing trying to find the best ways to deal with things. Then you free yourself of the pressure and just perform. I imagine that's how it is.
Disclaimer: I haven't been in a fight in over a decade and have absolutely no clue. I'm just wildly speculating, lol.

Sounds cringe.. when I do get nervous I think of my girlfriend and daughter the reason why I train and why I put myself through it all

I thought I was prepared going into my amateur debut but as soon as I got tagged the first time, I just started swinging for the fences....It was all a blur after that first hit and hopefully it was just nerves from the newness of everything... Overall I think this guy has a good idea to overcome things
