I'll take Rizzo any day at this point. Mirko wins one fight against someone in their first mma fight, and some of you guys think think he'll (t)ko Rizzo? Cro Cop fans are good for a laugh.

Is this event definitely happening, though? It's hard to find much information on it.

Cro Cop isn't as shot as Rizzo and he's been active this year.

I love Cro Cop, but this doesn't make sense. He was one of the highest paid fighters in the UFC(supposedly got a few million dollar contract, for filling in last minute against Mir), and even though he was losing fights, the UFC probably would've kept him. He seemed like he truly wanted to retire last year, and said in Interviews that he made more then enough to retire, and no longer had the fire in him.
So why now fight in the independent circuit? Sure they must be paying him decently, but it can't be anywhere near what he was getting in the UFC. Is he really injury free, like he's claimed before? Does he need the money? What about Kickboxing?
Cro cop is one of my favorite fighters, so I hope he keeps winning. Just makes me wonder why he's doing it. I understand the competition level and risk is much less then what he had to face in the UFC, but is this just a quick cash grab or is he really want to keep fighting....

I think he just can't retire. Can't let it go.

He just said that he can't live without it before his fight with Sefo. He said that it's something that he's been doing his whole life(he's been competing professional for over 16 years) and that he just missed it all and can't just stop doing something that he practically did his whole life. Also, he said that he just keeps taking his sparring partners down and would like to fight in MMA again.
Cro Cop's just a born fighter, it's hard to stop guys like him from competing.

Well he fought Nelson with a supposedly very injured arm and had him in trouble twice and was winning his fight vs. Schaub before getting caught in the 3rd.
He's won 3 legit k1 matches this year, won against 4 UFC caliber opponents while he was there. His other losses were against Junior dos Santos, a cheating Kongo who had no points taken away despite 4 knees to the balls and a KO from Frank Mir with 50 seconds left in the fight. He also crushed 3 cans in that time frame
I'm not trying to paint a picture of a great fighter here, just comparing it to Rizzo who is 1-1 in the past 3 years. being knocked out against Fedor in the first minute of the fight and winning against Ken Shamrock (1-5 in the last 5 years at that point, and testing positive for roids during his 1 win against a 6-10 opponent)
