Plus my lady is half Puerto Rican, and her Mom and Grandmother speak to each other in Spanish, but she herself doesn't. So she likes that I can listen in on when they talk shit about people.
Anyway, it depends on the guy. This is a good time for me to say that I train people SLOWLY. Because I want them doing things correctly, not just doing them just to do them and then I try to correct it. I have a kid right now I've been working with for about a month and a half and I still won't let him throw his right hand, because there's things I need to correct about his posture and ability (or inability) to execute movements. So all he has are 3 punches, all with his left hand that he can throw well. If he sparred, any time he threw his right he'd be subject to getting beaten-up. So it's all about progress. If I see it enough that it satisfies me, then a guy can go fight. If I don't, or if I see ANY inconsistency, then they don't get the reward of a fight.

Oh i see you got any cousins from your father's side of the fam? thats how i found out where my parents where from i just got back from my girlfriends family party they were doing karaoke in spanish so i had to deal with that the whole day dont get me wrong i dont hate speaking it just after the whole day of hearing it man it gets on my nerves. Oh i see it will help alot with the technique and make everything far more comftrable too and does he actually spar using one hand? lol . I read somewhere that blackburn made joe louis hit the heavy bag with one hand tied behind his back i forgot where. Thats a good system you got there your going to get yourself some champions one of these days good luck

Oh yeah, I have a million Cousins on that side. And my Father has God knows how many kids with other women. He was a drug dealer in Miami, in the 80's, and he often took sex for trade (probably still does), so he ended up with franchises, bunch of different women with kids by him.
And no, the kid I'm training doesn't spar yet. He does mostly partner drills since he can only use one hand. The rear hand is used defensively, but not so much FOR blocking, but for gauging distance (if you catch a guy's jab, then you know where that guy is). And yes, Blackburn had Louis do something similar for purposes of re-teaching the use of each hand.

Yea most latin american's have a shit ton of family lol the father of my bestfriend may he rest in piece had like 12 kids i think? haha my grandparents had 8 kids also so i seen how it is with alot of siblings and i see where would you prefer to go after the jab i usually throw the right hand or slip inside to throw the left hook idk if theres a better option tho. Maybe thats why he was always balanced while he threw the punches i always liked how short his punches were

man partner drills are awesome... you know, they dont let us use our rear hand much either, just to the chest.. more often were doing jab only sparring, or left hand only, or hooks to the body only, pretty useful for perfecting a particular punch... since theyre ona more relaxed pace than sparring...
