denatured alcohol might work or paint thinner if its along the lines of acetone.

@Deathstriker How many oz of paint is needed for a groin guard?

If I can't find Angelus paint can I use any old acrylic paint?, guy in the arts&crafts shop assured me that it would be okay but I want to make sure on here first.

Would dyes made for shoes do the job also?

dyes would be a different story since you would need to soak the item in the dye for a certain amount of time.

paint is prep on the surface.
