I think over time JMMA may come back solid. Not like Pride haydays but enough to sustain a viable org that pays decent and has some exposure, but it will be years and years away.

JMMA biggest problem is the people who continue to be involved in it behind the scenes and run the events. The media outlets and many sponsors are done dealing with them in Japan. Until these people clear out JMMA will never amount to more then a show here and there. On top of that these people do the damnest to not allow anybody to come in either.

Reality I think is that outside of one or two Japan shows a year the UFC will be about the only sustainable org of substance putting on a few shows a year over there.

Hey - I agree with Aoki

Unfortunately. This was one of the big reasons I have lost nearly all interest in MMA

Yeah I know, you just reiterated exactly what I just said, but hey, you are known to do that.

i think you should take a second look at aoki's record, and the records of some of the guys he's beaten.

Do we really need to get in to another discussing regarding the quality of Aoki’s resume?

It’s fact that he has one of the best resumes at lightweight (Arguably top 3) and I repeat no one except a top 3 lightweight in Melendez have been able to do what you claim basically any mid tier would be able to do to him!

I agree with you that both Bendo and Maynard would be extremely difficult stylistic matchups for him but even if I would concede to you that he wouldn’t be able to take down any of the above mentioned fighters pleas name me one other fighter in the top 10 that would be able to negate Aokis offence?

I mean are you seriously trying to claim that Donald, Miller or Nate for that matter have better TDD than for an example Kawajirir, Kitaoka or prime JZ?

Again you claim that Shinya would never come close to being in the top 10 and that basically any somewhat well-rounded fighter would beet him yet this have never happened and he have fought plenty of guys like that already (Just take a minute to go trough the fight finder for Christ sake!)

Why did DREAM fail to live up to expectations few years ago? They had TV deals and a lot of good fighters especially in lighter weight classes.

That's why Cerrone is fighting Pettis for the next title shot
