DREAM 18: Special NYE 2012

Pretty much. I give CBS props for even airing it. Whether it's a time buy from GLORY and/or early experimentation for something larger between the two entities, it's cool to see DREAM and GLORY on a CBS affiliate.

Also, apparently I don't get CBS Sports? LOL. Looks like I gotta sign up for it. I get like 500+ channels through Verizon but not a CBS channel. Go figure.

my tv guide for Fight Network still just shows the Dream MMA event from 1am to 4 (Sask time)

The kickboxing portion isn't showing up on my guide yet.

Yes they do watched tape delayed football games. Plenty of people I know do because they can't watch the games live because they're not on TV where they live.

You don't get to watch some of the past DREAM events, DEEP, Shooto or any other JMMA live because they don't air on TV in America and there's no stream to them, plus they don't even air live on Japanese TV, so if anything you have to watch them on tape delay when they get uploaded to YouTube.

With the last minute announcements for this event, hopefully they can still get it live.. Doubt it but who knows. Would be cool but the tape delay is less than a day so not too big a deal. I rather see it NYE morning because I had plans NYE night.

Your whole premise and base of argument is \ridiculous. MMA fans are the worst because they want it live and on TV. My counter argument was that Football fans want their shit live and on TV. the biggest difference is that there is 6-8 football games that can be going on at once. Usually there is only one MMA event. They still cater to more fans with that model than what MMA does and they have less competition for TV slots with other promotions. Does MMA generate the revenue that Football does? Nope. I won't pretend that it does, but the NFL competes with itself but it reaches a large enough base that it's covered. Even if you don't have internet or a channel the game comes on you can still go to a bar and watch a game and with MMA you can't even do that.

I was talking about about the real football, not the American football.

My argument isn't that MMA fans are the worse because they want it live and on TV, my argument is that MMA fans are the worse because they get the chance to still watch an event that they normally won't be able to watch on TV and they still whine about it because it's not airing live.

There is plenty of MMA that we can't see live and no one complains about that. They just sit back and wait for it to come online so they can watch it.

FEG who was behind old K-1 and old DREAM is gone. New K-1 and new DREAM are just brands that have new owners. Basically they don't have anything to do with the old ones.
