They had established Weedman would get a spot a while ago, unless something has changed. I don't think he'd beat Cosmo. Firstly, Cosmo has displayed solid TDD and Weedman isn't the greatest wrestler. I thought Michel beat him clearly. Secondly, Weedman likes to strike. I think he'd get in a war, which he'd in all likelihood lose.

Since they're in control, and not making weight destroys their tourneys, I think Cosmo will be in the WW tourney or not at all. Final spot is Weedman-Tirloni, Weedman-Horcher, Weedman-Eddie, or Weedman-Nazare .

Either that or they're like-minded and that's why I'm more or less a fan of the organization.

I suppose they could be holding out on the final spot because they're figuring out what will happen to Eddie, and if they re-sign him if he'll be in the tourney. Or they could be figuring out what to do with Cosmo. Supposedly they prefer he fight at WW, but if he insists LW they might be open to that. Otherwise the spot is up in the air. Could be choosing between Horcher, Tirloni, and a potential new signing.

If Eddie hangs around, I'd like to see him rematching Chandler instead of in the tourney, and Tirloni get the final spot. Tirloni-Weedman would be a really good match-up as well. They're all good match-ups. I love LW's both in UFC and Bellator.
Maybe they think Cosmo fits better at 170 since there division is so striker heavy, I totally forgot about Tirloni who deserves another crack but i would love to see some new blood in tournament with Horcher

If Eddie offer does get matched it will be interesting what they plan to do with him, if they want do a PPV you have to think there ideal match would be Chandler/Alvarez 2

Good points taken. I guess I've seen Weedman pull off too many upsets over the years, enough to make me think that his style is so adaptable that he could take out a prospect of Cosmo's caliber. You are right Cosmo's takedown defense has improved since his initial loss to Quayhagen.

I think if Eddie Alvarez is re-signed that he won't have to do the tournament to get a shot at the belt. If Chandler retains against Hawn it is still a rematch if Eddie were to fight him...which are allowed in 2013.

Lol. This is so stupid. How is Patricky overrated? I don't see him in the top ten or anybody saying that he should be. Also, how is Bellator protecting him? Fighting guys like Alvarez, Chandler, and Woodard isn't being protected. His brother also isn't way better.

Freire has pretty much fought the very best that Bellator can offer at his weight class. DeLorenzi isnt a gimmie either.

Eddie isn't going to re-enter a tournament, he's past that point in his career.

Exactly. Not sure how Sarnavskiy is going to deal with Michel's striking. I'm going with Michel in this one.

I'm hoping that last spot is not being saved for Alvarez. He is way too big of a name to be doing these tournaments. He just knocked out "Pitbull" and Aoki. He has nothing to prove against guys like Weedman or Woodard.

If Bellator really does match the UFC's offer, why would they risk Alvarez losing in the tournament? I say screw Bellator's tournament rules and have Alvarez face Chandler in an instant rematch.
If Bellator signs Eddie, I agree, he should def. get an immediate rematch with Chandler.
