Wrong.
But I don't sit at home watching football because of the atmosphere, I watch it because I love the sport and it's exciting to watch. When I go to a live game, if the game is crap, the atmosphere won't be as good. Usually the atmosphere is fantastic, becomes football games are generally good to watch. I watch a bit of NFL with friends and always catch the Superbowl. That kind of atmosphere is completley artificial. And your friend is from Croatia, a poor footballing nation. We get to witness the best football league in the world every week.
There's a reason games are often low scoring and that's because it is a difficult sport. It's not just about getting to the other side of the pitch, it's a ridiculously hard sport to master. Around 8/10 children grow up playing football here, it isn't like boxing where not many children are actually put into the sport. Of those who play football, only a very select few ever make it pro. You have to be naturally talented and seriously dedicated, just like boxing.
But lets be honest, people like Messi and Beckham are on Floyd's level in terms of natural sporting ability. No NFL player is fit enough to lace up their boots.
