I guess I never got a card either.

The next meets I saw on the calendar were 3/16 on Corona & then 4/2 in Santa Barbara. I'm considering a BJJ tournament in March though, so not sure what I'll do.

BJJ - 1.5 Hours


Worked on a nice inside trip takedown, then did some work from back control. I didn't feel like I rolled very well today, but I was tired for sure. I think the diet is affecting me a bit. Will be interested to see how lifting on Friday feels after I re-hydrate...

AM Weight (Empty Stomach): 211.0
Noon Weight (After Lunch): 215.6
PM Weight (Before bed): 215.4

Protein: ~235g
Carbs: ~40g
Fat: ~57g
Water: 2.25 gallon

Diet Update - Wednesday, 12/12/12
Last Water-Loading Day, start fasting at 5:00pm


AM Weight (Empty Stomach): 212.0
PM Weight (5:00, after last meal): 215.8

Macros (Before 5:00pm):
Protein: ~200g
Carbs: ~30g
Fat: ~45g
Water: ~2.25 gallon

Had my last meal at 5:00pm. 2 Cans of tuna with lettuce. At 7:00pm I ate 4 graham cracker sheets, which was good for 48g carbs. Not sure how many I was supposed to eat. No H20. The plan is no food or drink until noon-ish tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. Just knowing that I'm not supposed to eat makes me hungry....

And the reason I'm doing this trial weight cut is to see if its feasible for me to make the 198 class for a PL meet on Jan 12th.

Didn't lose nearly as much weight overnight as I had hoped. I think I might hit the sauna at the gym later this morning to try to sweat some weight off.

Have you ever cut weight before? That seems like a big cut if you've never cut before.

Final Weight at noon: 207.4


I took a hot shower for about 17 minutes & then weighed myself at noon. 207.4 was not as low as I had hoped.

So at this point I'm not sure its practical to try to get to 198 for the meet on Jan 12th. I'm gonna think about it some more.
