Sure I sweat but not profusely like many of the chubby guys.

YES!

I'm the former big guy, coming down from around 280ish when I started at this gym. I always liked to pull guard though, thinking that if I could develop a guard AND develop take down skills (which is why I started judo), people wouldn't know what to do with me.

More importantly, I'd develop a more well-rounded game as I started getting sweeps and then working guard passes from there (working a top game too).

So, when new big guys show up, I'm always pushing them to work guard rather than the typical midget wrestling battle for top position.

At this point I shall gracefully bow out of the comp, I am out of my league I can see that now.

There is an extreme large guy at my school, he's gotta be at LEAST 250 easy. And I can never roll with him. He just tosses me around and I have no answer for him. Hell, it's not like I can even get my legs around him to hold guard.

Sad thing is, and this just could be my total lack of skill talking, I feel like when I watch him I do have more technique then hi, but just not enough of it to overcome someone as powerful as him.

The Inverted Gear panda bear reminds me of him, except the panda is far more flexible.

I'm 300lbs (6'7"). I'm always early to class, and before my recent layoff from class, I always beasted through our cardio sessions. Now I find myself having to stop for a couple of seconds sometimes, but it's coming back.

Why haven't I seen the Fatlardo Gracie signature jpeg yet?!

Also, a fat guy with good skills will rock you, thank god for butterfly guard.

I always find them to the be the worst of the big guys. Buff guys have handles, and actually gas quicker very often. Fat guys have nothing to grab, and if they have decent cardio....fffffuuuuuu...

We have 1 Roy Nelson type. He's like 6 foot 260. Definitely find myself playing a MUCH more conservative guard game against him because if he gets side control it's death. Being gassed and having a really heavy guy crushing you in side control might be the worst feeling in the world.

250 is extremely large? Are people littler in New York, or something? Unless he's short, that's not that large. I'm sure this comes off as just being sensitive since that's my weight. But I honestly think a guy at 6 feet or taller weighing 250 could very well be a fit dude, even with some belly. People at the gym typically underguess my weight, for example, because I have a lot of mass in my legs.
