I love MMA in general and it sucks these days that all of the best are in 1 org. There is Eddie, Curran, Schlemnko,Khalidov and Askeren to me those are the only top 10 outside Zuffa. Crusher and Bibi dont fight enough and when they do they dont fight good enough comp. And Aoki ha we know how well he fares in the states he is smart though for sticking with OneFC and the easy wins they give him.

Aoki is 1-1 with Alvarez and his loss to Melendez was no more one sided than Masvidal's.
And while Kawajiri did get wrecked by Melendez, it's important to note Thomson gave Melendez a very good fight, and Kawajiri owned Thomson. (And Aoki finished Kawajiri.)
Also, think about how badly Aoki dominated Clementi, and how competitive Clementi was against supposed rising prospects in Held and Sarnavskiy.

Yes. There will be fighters to come out of Japan and eventually be ranked. FYI- Hioki is ranked right now.

If they were to ever move onto a larger scale promotion, I can see guys like Kume, ISAO, and Horiguchi being top ten. Doo Ho Choi WILL be an elite grade fighter in his prime too.

So.. you use MMA math to backup your opinions? I'm not really disagreeing with you, but that's a weak way to defend fighters' performances.

Can Japan ever produce a fighter that can do damage in the North American circuit?

Alvarez had already started making a name for himself before Dream.
