questions about getting over the hump?

so I've just gotten into thing working out cardio dieting and training right now I'm 193 and since highschool I've been as low as 169. I'm just over 5"7 and I have a stocky build with extra fat in my mid section I don't eat meat and work out twice a week. I would like to fight at 135 if I could get down to reasonable weight to cut from can anyone give me help on shedding the extra fat or would cardio and super clean diet do it?? of is 135 not reasonable?

Cardio cardio cardio. When you said you work out twice a week does that mean you work your cardio training?

You want to fight and you are only doing cardio twice a week? This isn't going to work out well at all.

Do you do any other exercise or training? Do you lift weights? How many calories are you consuming a day? Why don't you eat meat?

If you wanna lose weight you gotta train that cardio as much as possible. Find a good personal trainer. Have you started training ufc yet?

for me when i decided to stop getting beat up and gassed out in the gym i put down the weights, which i shouldn't have in hindsight, and did cardio 6 days a week.

every other day I would do burpees until I threw up or got close to it, and then either do burpees again later that day or do anaerobic cardio on the bag until i threw up or close to it and then i sprinted at night until i threw up or got close to it. so day 1 was anaerobic cardio 2-3 times a day with heavy emphasis on pushing myself to vomit.

the next day would be strickly aerobic cardio, 5 miles in the morning, a heavy bag session usually involving kicks for about 15 to 20 minutes then another 5 mile run.

and i would do these 6 days a week. the anaerobic cardio did wonders for my aerobic sessions even though i read countless things that contradicted anaerobic cardio as a serious method. but i stuck to what bruce lee said and did and i got to an elite level in about 6 weeks, never gassing in class again. now after injuries and real life i'm about to get started again. I am not really looking forward to it, but that's what its going to take. and 6 weeks was just the tip of the iceberg

would 5 miles 6 times per week work? I don't have access to a heavy bag

you have access to a floor, so you can do burpees. just make sure to do them as fast as possible while keeping form and jumping as high as you can. these are a must for mma b/c they help your sprawl.

i doubt you can even do 15 of these. accept my challenge now.

edit: and you better change your attitude, asking if you can do less than I did to get into shape? please. You should be asking if you can triple my exercise plan. you need to run at least 10 miles or do cardio for at least 1.5 hours on your aerobic days. for your anaerobic days you can sprint, do burpees, or play bruce lee in the yard until you feel like vomiting. you have to reach your limit though, which is vomiting otherwise just pick your twinkies back up and flip on the game and stop kidding yourself.
