Once they step onto the mats or into the ring, they are no longer women. They are training partners and should be treated as such.

We have quite a number of women at our MT gym (6+) and I don't like sparring them because they constantly complain that I hit them too hard not to me but behind my back (I'm going light 30% and only mostly using jabs when I punch) and then when I ask them if that's an ok level they front it out like it's no big deal. Most of them compete as well. I tend to get a bit fed up and will avoid them if we rotate because I just get nothing out of it except just practicing pure defence and semi contact point sparring.

Knock one of 'em out. That'll learn 'em not to talk behind your back.

Some people need to grow up and get out and experience wider society.

This is also probably as good a place to say it: fighting is not a primarily Alpha male activity. You misunderstand the concept. When Alpha males fight its usually incredibly serious, usually they don't. It is BETA MALES who fight each other in dominance display fighting with a goal of gaining hierarchical position. The drive to train in fighting is driven precisely by the males lack of alpha status not because of it. Know yourself and your place.

Edit: Alpha males also get on well with the ladies as women are not usually threatened by their surety and calm confidence. 'Sorry' bud..

two words: base survival. Ego has nothing to do with it.

Unfortunately the one I heard complaining that I almost KO'd her with a jab is seeing my instructor

I have many friends and acquaintances from a variety of countries and socio economic groups who basely survive just fine without fighting. That is rather subjective, I do not deny fighting skill can be a form of capital, ones social dominance is directly related to survival, it is however only one strategy.
