I agree. One of my peeves is bullshit match ups when it comes to the title. Save thefreak show fights and shit for guys you have nothing better to do with.

The UFC's a business, what do you want? MMA is a sport, but the UFC, and Bellator, and Strikeforce, and DREAM, and every other MMA organization in the world is a business, and they have to act like one, and that means, inevitably, doing things that people won't like. If they didn't I can guarantee that well over 99% of the people on every MMA forum wouldn't be a fan of the sport.

But he did work his way to the number 2 middleweight spot and has shown that he could probably stay there. Nick Diaz? No. No way in hell. I like the fight and want to see it but I don't think he even remotely deserves it at this time. After a win, maybe, after two, yes. He lost to Condit. Whether you agree with the decision or not it was a loss. If he moved to lightweight or even middleweight I could see it being on the edge of okay, but not in the same weight class.
switching weight classes has nothing to do with it. you cant say frankie deserves one coming of 2 losses more than Diaz coming off 1 loss. that sounds stupid. Alot of people say the condit-diaz fight was as close if not closer than the henderson-edgar fight, so the fight being close argument doesn't work either. But unfortunately all 3 of these fights clearly show that the UFC wants to make money more then they want integrity in title fights. which im not neccisarily sad about.

SEEMS LIKE A LEGIT SPORT..
Sonnen I have a problem with. Even Bones thinks it's stupid.

The other two are fine considering they were close decision losses that could have went either way. Frankie is dropping down and GSP wants to settle his beef.

I can always tell the people who have never ran a business or had the task of making something profitable.... The UFC is a business first and a legit sport second. Most times as history has shown the Zuffa group makes wise business decisions which may not please everyone. Deal with it....

If Edgar deserved his rematch with Henderson, Diaz can make a case for the GSP fight on the grounds that his fight with Condit was controversial. The suspension, however you wanna go with that is whatever. There's too much grey area in that to really say how that affects this entire situation. But the decision with Condit was controversial and GSP wants the Diaz fight, so imo, it's not as bad as Chael/Jones.

Chael/Jones is the worst of the 3. Chael has no success at LHW, hasn't fought there in years, and is coming off a TKO loss at a lower weightclass. I'm not one of these doom-and-gloom "Oh, what is the UFC thinking?!" people but it's a weird match up.

I feel like punching myself in the face just thinking about how much of a circus the whole title shot fiascoes are going about.

Fuck fairness the sport needs legitimacy . It's a joke . It's like the NFL saying we are going to put a team that hasn't made the playoffs into the super bowl . Fans need to keep ripping Dana white on twitter ,email and another way until he gets it .
