The rankings are all one sided biased BS anyway. He can be top 10 outside the UFC.

Well, i wouldnt be so sure. KSW will be only getting bigger, and if they make more shows and bring more good fighters for Mamed, this might change. If he keeps winning he can build up a pretty solid streak against solid opponents/UFC vets.
And as far as opinions go, i think he would accept 65k/65k or 75k/75k contract if UFC offered him that kind of money. But we all know that will never happen, because as a fighter he is unknown in the US. To be honest, we need to wait at least 1 or 1.5 year, maybe something will change during that time.

The core issue is that Mamed has a family to feed. In Poland he became a superstar, comparable to Pudzianowski to an average beer-drinker. The days when a KSW event without Pudzianowski was impossible are gone. Mamed went mainstream-commercials, TV appearances, he even made an appearance in a Polish soap-opera, watched by probably 65% of our society, playing himself. No doubt he can earn more here than he would in the next few years in the UFC unless he would pwn Anderson or Jon Jones.

Yes, possibly
But if all the current top 10 are under the Zuffa umbrella, how does he go about breaking into the top 10 without beating anyone already in there?

What I'm wondering, is why does Dana say Poland is the only market he's not interested in?! KSW is obviously doing really good there, I don't understand his reasoning.

He could say screw the biased website BS top ten rankings that Zuffa has monopolized and which outside fighters can't get into and work to be the best outside Zuffa. There are obviously great fighters in these Zuffa centric rankings and a number of them are the current best in the sport but there are also top elite fighters outside the org. who would do great in the UFC.
KSW is a great home for him pulling in 3.8 - 4.5 million viewers on TV in front of a top notch produced show in front of a packed house. 4.5 million viewers is equivalent to 36 million viewers in the U.S. based on Poland's viewing population compared to U.S.
Khalidov vs. Materla for KSW MW title would be great (I don't really care about their friendship outside MMA). Followed by Manhoef vs. Khalidov.
If he wins both of those KSW should push hard to make a super cross-promotional champ vs. champ fight with Shlemenko/Falcao winner. It sounded like they really wanted the Lombard fight but that is right when he went to UFC. KSW champ vs. Bellator champ for top MW spot outside Zuffa is what I'm hoping for down the line.

I think he was being sarcastic. Just my opinion although this may not be a country they are focusing on at the moment since they really like to go into untapped markets or markets to re-build like Japan. With KSW's success though, you would think they would want to bring in their brand to tap into that.

I think UFC is not interested in Poland because:
a) They have no polish fighters (some fighter have a polish name or polish ancestors, if I am not wrong the most polish fighter in the UFC is Soczynski, since he was born in Poland, but he isn't really fighting anymore...)
b) KSW is huge in Poland compared to UFC, UFC might not want to enter a market, were they cannot be top 1 or even top2 org in the nearest future.
c) UFC has a deal with chanel Orange Sport for the next two year. Orange sport has a market share of 0,18%, compared to Polsat's (KSW) 14,85%.

I think people are over-rating how big of a deal it is that Khalidov isn't "a name" in the US
Almost no one is
PPV's sell based on if there's a title at stake and how heavy the guys are
Anderson/Khalidov would probably do better than Anderson/Okami

Yeah, those could be the reasons. Sounds reasonable.
