Did anyone see the video where the middle school wrestler let the kid with cerbal palsy win the match?
It was a sweet story and I was just wondering if anyone had seen it. Part of it bothered me a little.

That reminds me of the runner that went and helped another competitor across the finish line.

I had a niece with CP... Its very debilitating. Doing any kind of sport would be a serious challenge with that condition.

I saw it posted from Roy Deans facebook page. It almost made me tear up a bit.

Yeah man, that's what bothered me a little. The kid couldn't even move. His dad brought him out and laid him on the mat.
I think it would put his opponent in a tough situation. The other kid handled it like a champ and I know his parents are proud of him, but if he hadn't thought to pull the kid with CP on top of him for the pin, I'm not sure how the match would have gone.
I thought the kid with CP was incredibly brave for getting out there and the other kid has the heart of a lion, but under different circumstances this doesn't have such a happy ending.

I thought people with cerebral palsy were 100% with it mentally. I'm sure his opponent was too young to know but it's important the rest of us don't forget that.

Am keen to see the video as sounds really inspiring.

I saw it when somebody posted it on Facebook recently. Like you, it was really nice of the able-bodied kid to do that but I agree...do people think the kid with CP really has no idea that the other kid intentionally let him win the match?
