Agree with above but want to reiterate that the range is really close. You will sacrifice power and lose your god given range.
Also after you jab and follow up with combinations your jab hand doesn't "reholster" (go back to your chin) it seems to go more chest level.
Make sure you turn your punches over. You want to and land at a 45 degree angle and reholster. This will give you more snap and also make your shoulder turn up to keep your chin protected.
When you throw the liver punch you forget to keep your right hand up. The counter to a hook is a hook so be careful.
Nonetheless we all need to get better and none of us are perfect. Congrats on the achievements and hard work. Keep it up and wish you the best.

it is skinny as hell, but the fact I can even drag myself out of my house to train every day is surprising, a lot of people with crohn's disease can't even work a job.

No worries brother. It takes balls to put stuff on sherdog but if you have thick skin and brush away the haters you can probably take away some good stuff.
Just finished watching the Thai video twice.
It seems as if your pad holder isn't the best either. I personally would try to adjust your range after just a few combos. That is my biggest gripe.
I saw someone comment on the YouTube page about getting more power. Weights will help but I feel that you arent utilizing your hips enough in your punches or kicks.
I don't know if you were doing pad work for speed or what. I noticed on most of the right hands and right high kicks that you wouldn't utilize your hip strength.
One thing noticed it your seemed stronger with your switch kick than your rear roundhouse. And I think it's because you used your hips better with the switch kick. You wanna swivel on the ball of your feet to allow your hip to open up and allow for more power ala Thiago Alves.
Try working on a double end bag for your distance. That might help
When I coach I always say. Your limbs are your missiles. And some people's missiles go farther than others. So why fight where there
missiles land? Use your natural advantage and combine that with smooth camouflaged footwork to exploit people from the outside.
Sorry for the babbling the coach in me wants to advise.

Your switch kick looked sharper and noticibly more power.
Also when you open your hip to kick it insures that your shin lands where the bone is the most dense rather than your ankle.
Make your lead foot go from pointing straight to perpendicular before you engage you body to rear round kick (yours seemed to just stay straight and your heel would elevate). This allows for more hip movement. I remember Bas Rutten giving a demo of this somewhere on the web.

Pretty inspirational what you accomplished so far, considering what I just read about it. You're quite amazing. Well done. Keep on keeping on.

you will only do what you have been taught...
Boxing needs to be polished, but you will need a trainer that can see what you are doing wrong to fix it, if you were in the Windy City, Id tell you to come by...anyway...this is pad work with a real pad man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKMoBX0WhNg
when you Jab, you drop the left when retracting you also do not have full extension on the jab, you choke it up, same with the right, no full extension, you will box as you are trained, you dont pivot out, foot work needs work and you should always finish off combos with a double jab, when you run your 1,2 the 45 degree hook the body combo, you are leaning forward and reaching, off balance, you need to drop levels to execute that punch, this is the job of the trainer to tell you that....
Plus those look like 16oz Sparring gloves....way to big for pad work...

impressive padwork for sure!
I am not a boxer nor do I try to be, I have to crosstrain Muay thai, bjj and wrestling in as well. My hands will never be that polished. As for the footwork, I used to use a lot different footwork than now, but really have to switch it up, especially being a tall guy in MMA.
But if I am ever out there, I would love to come train, thanks for the pointers

we take many Muay Thai fighters and polish their hands, you dont have to be a boxer, but you should have the fundamentals down, its just some slight tweaks, like you saw on the video...Gamboa is around your weight, you should have speed like him, with your height and reach at your weight.....you should never be touched....whenever you are on town, reach out!
