I've only used them once (last week for DE work). Make sure to brace yourself because it's a different feeling being pulled down other than gravity. I almost lost my balance just unracking the bar with the bands attanched to it. No wonder they said warmup with the bands so you can get into groove.

Are you getting EliteFTS bands? They have them for cheap.

I looked into them a while back. They are cheap, but shipping to Canada makes it expensive...
I will likely pick some up in Syracuse, the next time I head there...

I was told that I am probably not at the level to be using them, but I would even do the bar with the bands just to grease the groove...

I think i was the one who told you that you have to be at a certain level to use DE work but after using bands, i definitely know now why people use them. I read somewhere that a common mistake people do with bands (and chains) is that they do their programming around the bands/chains.

How's your quest to 315 squat going?

I think it was you, actually. I am not too worried about it now. My focus is on simply getting as strong as I can.

Its in week 2 of my program. I have 2 more sessions of 3X5 before moving on to 2 weeks of 4X4... I added Paused Box Squats and kept the RDLs and Front Squats. We'll see. The squats feel really good. The cues I am picking up from people watching my vids have really helped!

Will be interested to see how you use them and how they work for you.

Glad to hear the squats are feeling good for you. You should get 315 soon. Just stay consistent and you'll be fine.

I'll just be using them for DE work. I'm not experienced enough to know what to do with them. I wish i had a squat cage so i can do reverse band squats (ala keosawa) so i can do some heavy squats without too much burden on ky lower back. I just have to work with what i have.

If it makes you feel any better, I'd love to have the equipment you have at my own place!

Are you going for that 405 kill tomorrow?

Lol my home gym is one of the best things i ever purchased!

My knees are feeling better right now (i'm wearing my rehbands at work). Hopefully it will be fine tomorrow. Normally i would just go for 405 next week so i can rest up, but i just want to tie you guys for the "race to 405" i'll probably eat some pizza and sleep early tonight. I heard pizza can do wonders.

405x1 Squat (+5 PR)

I finally got to 405! I'm glad my knee was cooperative with me today. After the squat i didn't do for any backoff sets like i normally do to rest my knees. I just did some good mornings and ab rollouts.
