KSW peaks at 3,8 mln + post fight interviews
According to Media2 and MMARocks KSW 21 peaked at 3,8 mln viewers. Media2 informs that the peak came during the main event at 3,315 mln on the chanel Polsat and 0,725 mln on the chanel Polsat Sport (which adds up to 4,040 mln, but maybe the peaks were on the 2 chanels not at the same time).
The average was above 2,8 mln (the article also names an average 2,992 mln for KSW 21). According to MMARocks the average gives 21% of the polish market, 27% in the comercial group age 16-49 and 32% of the male viewers.
The last KSW shows:
KSW 21 - 2,8 mln average
KSW 20 - PPV (according to MMAnia 80k PPV sold for 10$ each)
KSW 19 - 3,5 mln average (show with Pudzianowski, but peak during Mamed's fight)
KSW 18 - 2,0 mln average (show without Pudzianowski)
KSW 17 - 3,7 mln average (show with Pudzianowski)
KSW 16 - 2,5 mln average (show with Pudzianowski)
KSW 15 - 1,5 mln average (show without Pudzianowski)
KSW 14 - 3,6 mln average (show with Pudzianowski, but peak during Saleta-Najman)
KSW 13 - 3,5 mln average (show with Pudzianowski)
KSW 12 - 4,0 mln average (first show with Pudzianowski, during his fight with celebrity boxer Najman, a record 6 mln peak)
So last 3 shows without Pudzianowski were 1,5mln --> 2,0 mln --> 2,8 mln. The trend is clear, KSW i getting better numbers without Pudzianowski, thought they still cannot match the average with Pudzianowski on the fight card, but IMO in ca. 2 shows without Pudz they will get there.

Another impressive rating for KSW. This shows even more that Mamed is the number 1 star in KSW and Pudz is number 2.
Mamed had more viewers during his last fight in the co-main event then Pudz did in the main event. Not by much but it shows that they are both stars in Poland.
Great news.

I think Pudzianovsky fighting Bob Sapp was the co-main event and Khalidov was the main event, but I think it also shows that viewers did not tune off after Pudzia, and the event even picked up during the main event.
Khalidov is growing as a superstar for sure, but I do not think he already in the same level as Pudzianovsky.

Mamed was co-main event and Pudz was main event:

I watched the event and Sherdog has it right.
Khalidov pulls bigger numbers than Pudz recently. The Khalidov co-main event with 4.5 million dropped to 3.9 million when Pudz fought which is still an incredible number.
Based on population, I read that 4.5 million viewers in Poland is equivalent to 36 million viewers in the U.S. which is incredible.

With such good ratings I don't get why KSW makes only 4 shows a year, they had 4 show a year already in 2008. The quality got better, the areanas bigger, the viewers on TV increased, but keeping a max 4 shows a year just seems like wasting a lot of potential. The KSW owner say it's better to make less shows and keep the fans wanting more shows, than make more show and fans not wanting to watch so many shows...

Yeah, they don't want to over-saturate their market. They like having the fans wanting more which is great as long as they focus on fewer divisions and the champs and contenders in those divs. LW - HW should be their focus, although now it is mainly LW, WW, MW, and LHW sprinkled in with HW. They should run another couple shows each yr. to crown a HW champ.
PRIDE only ran 6 - 10 shows each year with a focus on four weight divisions (155, 185, 205, and 265).

In their better years they ran 10 shows. KSW should aim for similar. There are 7 metro areas with million plus populations in Poland for them to jump around in. They are in no threat when it comes to over saturating the market. People love sports and heavily support stars. They just need to maintain and keep quality Polish talent, Pride lacked home grow talent and it hurt them.

It's nice to see European promotions having success. I think Poland has a lot of potential for producing talented MMA fighters.
It seems like it was an exciting night of fights so I'll definitely watch this event. What kind of judging criteria does KSW use? Is it closer to unified rules or Pride rules?
