Goodbye Dutch tourist industry!

He might not be very articulate, but that does not automatically constitute brain damage. Speech could have always been a lesser skill of his.

The man is a legend in every sense of the word.
And he does this for pride, not for money like Goodridge. Gary has brain damage.

Then he should lose to Bouzidi in order to avoid Daniel Ghiţă.

I don't think he'd survive the first round with Ghita... losing to Bouzidi would probably be the best thing that could happen to him in that tournament.

I think peter's problems the last couple of years other than getting old, is loosing to much weight. Yes he looks ripped and stuff but 05,06,07 and even 08 he was much sharper and that extra weight protects you and his style benefits alot from a little more beef. He was 108 kilos in the K-1 2010 WGP and did very good, but in his fights with Kyotaro, Spong, Alistair 09, Saki he didnt have enough power. Fighting beasts like schilt, ghita, the reem and such you need more weight. I think he wants to get to 103-105 kilos when he was in 96-99 to be fast, but he no longer has the footwork, speed and reflexes that made him the killer at that time. Now he needs to have insane power, to be able to compete and take the shots better. I was watching his fights from 06,07 a couple of days and man he had insane brute power then in his kicks, and everything. He maybe a little slower but i think thats the way for him to fight now. Recently i saw a clip of him teaching in a class in his dojo and his calsf were so slim. In 05,06,07 they were so fucking big. Just an opinion, feel free to criticize.

I think the real question everyone wants to ask is, who has a better chance of getting brain damage? A NFL player who plays for 0-6 years? or a K-1 Kickboxer who fights for 0-15+ years?

Actually Aerts is already competing for about 25 years by now...

He might be a little bit but it isn't much if it is even there.

If you want to see punch drunk. Watch the Joe Frasier in interviews.
Which is sad to me, Smokin Joe is one of my favorite boxers.

Peter is a punchdrunkard if ever I saw one and for those of u trying to deny that fact? Y'all prolly got hit one time too many yourselves!

Sure he speaks with a dialect, sure he was never a great debater to begin with and sure he might like to smoke a few of the funny f a g's but believe you me,the lumberjack is all but coherent and his speach is impedimented at best and people that have known him for years will tell u so!

Peter Aerts has fought for what seems to be forever and whats more, his heart was always bigger than his defensive prowess,in other words he took way too many shots from the heaviest of hitters for a far too large amount of time.
