If Frankie makes it to the 5 th round against Aldo...
I believe he can get a unanimous decision or finish. Consider the weaknesses of some of Aldo's last opponents. Florian and Hominick especially. Hominick, who is a substandard fighter to begin with, went all the way to round 5. Hominick won round 5 and actually ground and pounded Aldo for like 5 minutes. Frankie is miles above guys like Florian and Hominick. Frankie has the best chance of anyone to take Aldo down and GSP him. Frankie's boxing is also great enough to put opponents away as we saw with Maynard. Frankie shoukld not be mentioned in the same breath as Faber, who is a has-been. The longer this fight goes, the greater Frankie's advantage.

I can definitely agree with that. All Frankie has to do is avoid the leg kicks. Very hard to do, but if he can get that done he wins handily in my opinion. Really looking forward to this fight, still a superfight in my eyes.

He could. But you never know. Aldo could blast Frankie earlier than that and put him away. Frankie is giving up his biggest advantage going to FW, which is his speed. Not saying he isn't as fast as Aldo but Aldo is definitely faster than Maynard/Bendo.
I'm real excited for this fight either way, but I think Aldo takes it

Frankie has tremendous cardio and endurance but who knows what damage his legs will take after four rounds
Food for thought! namaste

I think Frankie showed us all how much faster he is than Bendo and Gray in all 5 fights. One huge punch and upkick is the only reason he lost two of the fights. Both of those would floor most.

I agree that Frankie's cardio will help him the longer the fight goes, but i think if Aldo touches his chin, especially if it's with a knee or elbow, Frankie will be finished, and that's what i expect to see in this fight, a stoppage. I like Frankie's personality and heart, but i think this fight will play out like the Chad Mendes fight...

That is a big if, mind you.
However, if it does go to 5 rounds, then I see Edgar pulling out the UD.

I didn't say he wasn't faster. I'm saying Aldo is faster than both of them and maybe even Penn, so Frankie won't have the luxury of such a speed advantage if any at all
