Just because it works at the highest levels of BJJ competition doesn't mean it's technical!

No need to apologize, I can understand. I would be grumpy to without delicious, fresh squeezed juice either.

If a person consistently drills and consistently pulls off a move in high level competition, why is it not technical?

I think it would be fair to say that in all the spectrum of passes, this one that a wrestler typically uses. Of course that doesn't make it a 'wrestling move' like the F5 or the 619, but it's just used by them a fair deal, I find.

Precisely my point. Sorry if the sarcasm was not as apparent as I intended.

I know my gym recently had Leandro come out and do a seminar. The way he handled the blackbelts at my gym was mind boggling. He was going like 50% and just mauled everyone using NO strength.

Yeah, I was at Portland Judo for the final day and it was bonkers. His timing and balance are mind boggling. That match i linked to earlier is against Renato Cardoso, who is a complete monster, but just look at those first 3 minutes, Lo is absolutely relentless with his passing, but he's never forcing it, he's just a step ahead at all times.
