Regarding old topics...

I believe you can bump old topics but is there a maximum limit to how many you can do? And by how many years? Can you bump a topic from 2005? Or can you bump any old topic?

I'm trying to avoid dubs but I like bumping old topics sometimes, so just asking really, thanks. It's good to look back and discuss with forum members now an old topic/fight that happened years ago.

In my experience bumping old stuff for shits and giggles is frowned upon. Most threads will be locked or deleted and if someone has done it more than once they will probably get double yellows.

The only kind of old bumps I've seen cause problems are the ones in MMA forums in which the bumper just wants to remind everyone how wrong the TS was. These threads usually then become pointless arguments using hindsight. With no purpose other than to say "HA HA!", this kind of bump is frowned on, as any similar new thread would be.

Other, more "legit" reasons for bumping a thread can be harmless, depending on the situation.

Just my $0.02, others might see it differently.
