With that said, I think people forget they are all still just men. Men are pretty fragile when compared to jets and ships with bombs.

Personally, I find it hard to compare special operations forces because they all specialise in different areas (even though they might be very good in most areas)

For example, Delta and DEVGRU are the world leaders in counter terrorism, British SAS is the best at direct action, Spetznaz have a lot of experience in counter-insurgency, Australian SASR are the best at long range reconnaissance.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to make English speaking immigrants from England speak English when they were in America. Were you under the impression that the English who came over here wanted to start speaking Swahili and the loyalists forced them to speak English still, or something?
