People underestimate Gevorg's power and finishing ability. The reason why he doesn't finish fights these days is because nearly everyone he fights is intimidated from the get-go and fighting very conservatively. Basically, they follow Gevorg around, not throwing much and praying for an opening to land a hail mary. Look at how the forum's darling, Kyshenko fought in their much awaited clash. Same for Roosmalen, who only came alive in the last round.

Probably because of his footwork, he is in more of a boxing stance a lot of time if I remember correctly.

The only time I've seen him backdown was against Zambidis. He had him backpedaling a lot.

? Gevorg fights moving backwards in most of his fights. The Zambo fight was a typical night for him.

He's so technically sound, it is sickening. But what may be even better is his instincts. That shit can't be taught.

Such bullshit. People aren't born with the ability to kickbox. It only looks like instinct because he's drilled it into his subconscious.

Like a previous poster noted, none of these fighters string together combos for the hell of it. They watch their opponents, study them for patterns/habits, and throw offense very deliberately.

All three of these guys also have SUPERB timing and distancing. They can evade shots by the centimeter it seems, and this allows them to have good BALANCE and thus counterpunch easily.

All three of these guys also have an excellent understanding of angles. They will attack and then pivot ever so slightly out of the way of a counterpunch. They will defend and then pivot ever so slightly to throw a counter themselves.

- good eyes
- good timing
- good distance

These are all part of the "mental game" and the greatest fighters have it in spades

Lastly, all of these guys have shown an ability to take a punch when needed. Probably only Silva is iron jawed, but you can't at the top of any fight game without having a decent chin, since "shit happens."
It's probably no coincidence that all three of them are slow starters. First round (rounds for Mayweather) to gauge timing and distance and then they start upping the tempo.

Too often aggressive fighters suffer of Lauzonitis, they either get a finish early on aheer aggression or get figured out and beaten pretty quickly.
