The theory that they may be worried about the dangerous underdogs is quite attractive. But I'd imagine it's pretty difficult to fake these things.

I don't think Rockhold really pulled back because he wanted to wait to be transferred over to the UFC because Rockhold is going to be transferred to the UFC win, lose or draw, so I don't think he made up the injury or anything like that. Also Rockhold doesn't seem like the type of fighter to do something like that.
