If it the discomfort gets worse, be sure to rest. If I understand correctly, at that point you are risking re-injury, which takes longer to heal, and maybe even doing something permanent.

Yeah, probably a good idea. Today, it did not bother me at all (I was using lighter weights as well), because I used a narrow stance and slow descend. My pain is from lateral movement, so I avoided that in judo as well, because they tried to make me do ski jumps side-to-side.
