You know, as revered as Albano is as a personality, I never got into him as a manager. He just seemed like a mouthpiece that stammered around the ring drunk half the time. (probably was)

Guys like Heenan, Hart, etc could talk, interfere and seemed like they were actually "managing" the careers of their stable. That's what I liked about old school managers and what I tried to incorporate into my schtick.

he's gotta go in. He is very high on all the criteria. mainstream with Lauper, movies, tag team champion expert, etc.
Fred Blassie was at odds with a lot becuase Freddie believed Albano was just plain batshit crazy.
If the story about him slapping Shane is true then he should go in with 100% of the vote.

Sam Muchnick & Don Owen got in huh. Muchnick was my number 2 pick in the end and i dig him getting in, but im admittedly a bit disappointed Don Owen was the other promoter who got in. He was a great promoter, ran a great territory and is definitely HoF worthy, but i don't think he should've got in before some of the other promoters on the list. Oh well though, it is what it is. Maybe next year Curley or Bowser or Mondt or Lutteroth will get in.
