Primetime have secured an exclusive agreement with Supervision Media to give fans the opportunity to see the fight LIVE in selected cinemas on Saturday 24 November 2012.
Boxing returned to cinemas early this year with David Haye vs Derek Chisora at Upton Park. SuperVision restored a tradition from the Sixties with this fight, when the likes of Henry Cooper appeared regularly on the big screen.
Once again fans turned up in large numbers to get that big screen experience of live sports. Haye vs Chisora attracted crowds in over 50 screenings across the UK, but Ricky Hatton’s appeal has expanded that further and now Hatton’s bout will have over 80 cinemas taking part.
This is the largest number of cinemas on record to broadcast a live sporting event in the UK.
Hatton is regarded as one of the UK’s finest boxing talents, he marked his arrival into the upper echelons of elite fighters in 2005 against Kostya Tszyu. He held world titles at Light Welterweight and Welterweight and holds a record of 45-2-0 with 32KO’s.
Sad state?! Pick up a newspaper. Boxing is on a high in the UK. All this reflects is the enormous popularity of Hatton. Walkin along, Singing a song ..
