Do champions get a new belt for every title defense?

There was another thread where people said YES they do infact get a new belt.

But some guy came and piped in that no, you keep the same belt. I swore I seen a video where Anderson had several all over his house.

On the other hand, it seems all you have to do is ask. Tim Sylvia mentioned receiving a new belt after the Jeff Monson fight, simply by asking Dana White for it..

Well, I can tell you for a fact I have seen first hand that Frank Shamrock has a belt for every championship fight he won in the UFC.

Of course that was the old generous UFC mind you...

I don't know when but at some point they stopped doing that.
