Yes, I am looking forward to that.
Did you see that card though? Most of the fights are looking to be one sided as hell, a lot of fighters from TriStar, who happen to be promoting the card. I am guessing TriStar will have a good night
Most of the "favored" fighters are from... you guessed it, TriStar. I know some guys are hard to get fights for but almost every guy fighting on it from TriStar is up against an opponent with no record or a losing record, or has a much better record. I can't support a card like that.... I know that new comers like to get experience and pad the records but there is guys with good experience on this card doing the same thing.

I'm new to buying these kinds of DVDs. Do the prices generally go down over time or should I get it now with the discount if I'm planning to get it at all? The reason I want to wait is I'm currently overseas in a country the site doesn't ship to, so I'm going to have to enlist the help of people to receive and re-ship it if I want to get it now.

Not sure if it will get cheaper than 50% off. It was $72 (tax and shipped) for me, in California.

Thanks. I'm guessing it'll be $100 or $110 after shipping it to someplace in the States and then here (and tax). Could I ask how bulky the packaging is? Would it fit in one of those large USPS envelopes with bubble wrap inside?

Oops, sorry. Could someone who's received it maybe let me know then? It looks like an awesome set, so want to do whatever I can to get it shipped to me.

The temptation killed me. I had to order it.
I've fallen in love with head and arm chokes, and hitting an effortless side choke was possibly the best moment I've had in all my time training jiu jitsu.
Here's to (hopefully) many more of those moments to come!

50% off is the best deal I've seen for any of the Ryan Hall DVDs or the other World Martial Arts products.

That being said, he does mention that good people will try to run away or flip/roll out, so controlling their lower body is favorable. He says he thinks the mount is the best way to do it, or even just stepping a leg over, but to be careful in class so you don't hurt your training partners too bad. Also from the baseball slide finish as you run into them you can also wrap up a leg with yours to stop them from running away.
I don't think I'll say too much on the set because it really is fantastic, and people should support Ryan Hall on this, but he definitely covers that and a lot more. There's so much on so many chokes here, and that's just a small but on the no-gi brabo. The brabo/darce has been a top 2 or 3 finishing hold for me since 2009/2010 and there's details in there I never knew, even after training with some people known for being really good at it. There's so much to unpack on this and I'm barely into it. It also ties in incredibly well with the back attack and half guard dvds.
If you get it you will enjoy it man!

Curious, how do you compare it to Jeff Glover's Darcepedia? Does Ryan Hall go over that "Marc Laimon finish" I keep hearing about? I NEVER use Brabos, are they practical against much bigger guys?

Yeah, I broke down and ordered it. Even after paying for shipping twice to get it here, it's still going to end up being cheaper. Seems like an awesome deal.
