Saw some legacy FC karate kids on inside mma




they both remind me a bit of anthony pettis. very athletic

Cool vids. Thanks for posting.

Angel Huerta's vid really didn't show too much of his skills, I didn't think, but from a filmmaking standpoint (and I'm a film major, so these things interest me) it was really nicely done. Very slick. I liked it.

In the second vid, the dude clearly comes from a TMA background. Really nice movement and technique. His opponent looked mystified. I can see some reason for a comparison to Pettis.

Speaking of Pettis, interestingly enough, he comes from a TKD background and, perhaps more interestingly, was involved with a TKD organization that gets almost no respect. That is, the American Taekwondo Association. But he has clearly carried some of that training over into his MMA career.

Neither of them were ammy... they are both pro fighters.
But both of them have very weird unorthodox styles. That was a sweet side kick to the face by ontiveros. I would have to take them both down immediately if I fought them... can't play that game with them.

that footwork def comes from tkd.i love the low base they use sometimes aswell. makes me feel like i can see everything in front of me and wont get blindsided.
