If you do weight training while you lose weight, you'll retain more muscle than if you didn't.

i was doing bodybuilding for 6 years, so i have what i view as unnecessary muscles that makes me compete in a weight class that is to heavy for me, i look strong but am not

and i aleredy been in FAQ

I just did that I lost 25lb after doing SS and my squat went from 265*5 at the end of SS to 280*5 but I did it very slowly

Your body adapts to the type of training you do.

If you want to get stronger, follow a strength routine. If you've never done strength-oriented training in the past (or if it's been a while since last time), start with a beginner routine to milk any and all noob gains and to learn/polish your form in the basic lifts. Make sure you're on a healthy diet and adjust the total calories according to your BW goals.

It's that simple.
