Then "Massive meteor headed to earth, that's what's gonna cause it". Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and other Astrophysicists and Astronomers said "Nope, nothing there".
Then it was "Massive solar flares gonna cook us all". Same guys said "Nope, already happened, much worse has already happened, we'll be fine".
Then, they said... "They're all Illuminati agents, don't believe them!"

This woman that I used to have a thing for decided to go all tinfoil hat brigade on Facebook after her borderline-schizophrenic friend turned her on to a bunch of conspiracy theory sites. You even slightly suggest that they might be blowing things out of proportion or outright lying, and she busts out the Illuminati speech. Bums me out, she was a right fine girl, but that shit just screams "DANGER! BACK AWAY!".
It's apparently from before she got really famous. It was made with her then (unnamed) boyfriend, and he's in possession of it and has yet to shop it around. One would think that now that she's more famous that dude would be running to buyers.
Seems to good to be true but I'll be keeping my eyes opes for it. Personally I think he should sell that thing for the good of men everywhere

My favorite part of the all the illuminatti, NWO, etc conspiracies is the part where these groups, which would have to be highly intelligent and well organized go out of their way to leave little clues about their plans just to fuck with people. Like all the conspiracies about the Denver airport, supposedly they're going to trap a bunch of people in there and gas them in the underground tunnels, but before all that they painted a bunch of murals for no other reason than to tip people off if they're "in the know".
