Oh my goodness.. I'm confused. Some places say he's dead, other said he just got shot in the mouth and would be fine, now boxing scene says he's, at most, a vegetable.

Might have been the heart attack this morning, but it does seem like most all reports (including ESPN's scroll) are saying he is indeed now brain-dead/has no brain activity.
Sad end to a gifted fighter.

Though Hector has been in and out of jail, and has done some unsavory things since leaving the sport, its sad to hear. Hopefully he's able to hold on and lead a normal life.

CAMACHO ISN'T BREAD DEAD COMPLETELY. THERE'S NEWS REPORTERS FROM PUERTO RICO WHO ARE LIVE AT THE HOSPITAL AND THE DOCTOR ATTENDING HIM HAS SAID HE HAS MINIMAL ACTIVITY IN HIS BRAIN, BUT HE'S NOT BRAIN DEAD.

Puerto Rico's murder rate isn't even close to Mexico's.

I get nervous every time I see this thread bumped.
If he's in a strong coma there could also be a messy situation down the line. Pro lifers and all that.

Murder rate per 100,000 people
Puerto Rico's 26.2
Mexico 22.7
Of course Mexico has way more murders but it is also so much larger then Puerto Rico.
