Touching gloves is what you do with your sparring partners to let them know you're ready to start. Your opponent is not your sparring partner. After the ref says "fight" you fight. That's all there is to it.
If you want to play patty-cake and hold hands inside the cage mid-fight, you're wasting everybody's time.

So I have a fight coming up against this tool who always fakes the glove touch and throws a massive overhand left behind it (hes a southpaw).
I've seen him do it a few times and he's had some quick KO's because of this. He's crap on the floor.
I don't think the 'just dont touch gloves and circle away' thing is the route i want to go down because the last guy who fought him said he was going to do that and still got clipped because the cage was so small.
I'm thinking I can either:
a) fake glove touch and shoot, give him a dose of his own medicine.
b) come out jon jones style with my hands on the floor
ideas and insight appreciated
Sounds like a massive douche Thiago Silva him.. say no to touching gloves ko him harshly everybody will understand 100%
During the prefight meeting where they are going over all of the rules bring it up. Or you can make it clear to your opponent that you will not be touching gloves.
