Agreed. Some people just have different values, too. Me and my family (and extended family and friends) will be boycotting events, so long as there is even one women's fight on the card.

Every single guy I know who buys UFC PPV's (and that's quite a few) has said they will never buy a card that has a female fight on it.

No? Her point is perfectly valid. Miesha Tate simply stated that he haven't watched WMMA and, as such, do not have enough personal experience to base an opinion on it- which I think is fair enough. Miesha Tate may seem a bit harsh with its not hard to tell why she might be offended. No one wants to spend so much time trying to entertain...only to be told by their favourite celebrity that their performance is "hard to watch". Ouch.

And what "value" is that may I ask? There are 4-5 fights on every main event ppv and around the same number of fights on prelims. Taking this stat into account, 1 female fight will only take up 15% (if that) of the card.

So yeah, go ahead and boycott and not support the 85% of male fighters in the process. Also, remember your promise and don't buy Silva- GSP when Rousey-Mcmann somehow becomes co-main/3rd fight on the card.

I can understand Georges position, but to not even watch women's mma before responding is a bit forward. That being said, Meisha should understand that any pioneer sport is going to come with that kind of response, it comes with the territory.

The people insinuating GSP has said / done something wrong are incapable of comprehending even elementary English. He stated, quite clearly, that in his personal opinion it's not something he enjoyed.

Actually there was a time not long ago that women were not allowed to play the sports you suggest. There was not equal opportunity for the women in college sports etc. Why? Because women's sports are boring? No, because men didn't think it was there idea of what "womanly" is.......

What I "comprehend" is why he thinks this way. It's an old school Bigotry type attitude, IMO.

I don't know what George is thinking but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's oldschool bigotry, maybe it's a lack of interest or care for reasons we have no idea exist. I'm just saying he never really positioned himself against it, was decently respectful and stated an opinion. Tate is utilizing GSP's comments to get her name out into the media more (because clearly she's not going to do it via; fighting!).

I think it's a tad shameless, that's all, and I don't respect her attitude.
