Broner is like Floyd , ut he is like the older, more stationary floyd. floyd used to have some really great foot movement, think of the times that guys pressured the hell out of him (corrales, castillo, hatton) and he would just glide around the ring like it was a piece of cake. im not sure Broner can do that. i think if we were to see him fight someone like matthyse..he'd get hit alot.

I agree with this. Broner is shaping up to be a stronger, dumber Floyd.
Which is awesome news for us spectators.

Broner's probably too big and strong for even this weight class. I don't see anyone beating him unless they bring tons of power along with some head movement. Broner's ability to check inside with a big uppercut is gonna hurt a lot of these high pressure fighters.

i still don't like broner as a person but that was a great performance from him last night...as for seth mitchell.. i had images of barrett vs fields in my head and thought the fight would end the same way...i was right lol...seth is a good guy but he showed me nothing in terms of actually being special...better he get ko'ed by a blown up cruiser than a klitschko...get him back to the drawing board and work on his defense

I think/believe throughout his career PBF always had power and was always a power puncher...this was one of his most overlooked strengths.
People always thought because of his fragile hands he couldn't really KTFO people...
but if you look at some of his earlier fights, than with Corrales, Hatton, JMM, Arturo Gatti, and even recently against Miguel Cotto, PBF clearly has a lot of power...
I remember leading up to the Gatti (God rest his soul) fight some people were saying that he wouldn't be able to hurt him...Lmao...

I like the Toney comparison more than the Floyd one. Floyd is capable of doing what Broner does (Floyd can do pretty much anything he wants to in the ring) but he generally moved more than Broner does. Broner is probably the heavier puncher (though, this likely comes down to Broner having a size advantage whereas Floyd never really had one). Those uppercuts reminded me of the Jesus Chavez fight.

Broner had a Rigo level of creepiness about him. Held the ring like Toney. Deflected punches like Mayweather. He really defined himself this time around.

Gamboa is fighting at Jr LW next month. Would love to see him come up a few pounds and fight Broner for the LW belt in a few months.
