Seriously though, you were probably getting tired because you were eating too light before class. Eating clean before training is great and all, but you still have to get plenty of calories.
My previous pre work out had more calories than I had this time.

Before I'd make a shake with a banana and blueberries and some spinach and then eat some chicken or turkey sausage. All together I think it came out to like 300-350 calories.

This easy mac pasta shell shit is only like 220 calories, then whatever a handful of walnuts is.

Obviously I don't think junk food is better than clean food. Maybe it's just pasta is much better fuel for my particular body then fruit? I think trying to get my carbs pre workout from fruit was making me crash mid training session?

Probably a fluke, but I'll continue the experiment and report back. Gonna train tomorrow. Currently having my two beer's.

Interesting... maybe it was the complex carbs? Or the greater fat content

Did the same thing in last nights class and I had similar results. My energy and cardio just felt better than when I was doing the fruit/meat meal 1-2 hours before class.

Monday I'll try a healthier type of pasta. Probably whole grain mixed with some protein and walnuts and report back.

I read somewhere that beetroot improves your cardio, the article quoted a study, i have no idea if it was some dumb interpetation of a study or if it actually works that way though.

Trust me, I've had my experience with junk food and cardio and it's like having five pounds weights glued to your ribs.

So I tried some healthy whole grain pasta before training like I said I would...

I felt like I had to throw up the entire class and fart too. I even had to sit out for several of the rolls to avoid throwing up on people.

Back to microwavable cheese & shells for my pre workout imo.
